Even if the wireless module is incorporated into the end product, it is meaningless if the wireless connection becomes difficult because it is inserted into the housing. The circuit board and housing around the antenna of the wireless module, and human hands affect the radio wave characteristics and affect the communication distance of the product. Also, if the outer shape of the product is given priority, it is not always possible to implement the module under ideal wireless conditions.

Therefore, it is valuable to get the antenna measurement support that can                confirm the radiation pattern in the product or in the prototype.

Advice from the Product Design Stage

We believe reviewing designs before finalizing product specifications is essential. The wireless module’s radio characteristics are affected by the surrounding board and housing. 

Therefore, if requested, we may ask you for design information of the board implementing the wireless module and details about the relevant information of your product at the stage when the product’s appearance and board layout are being considered. 

Within the requested conditions, our technical team will work with you to determine the best implementation position, orientation, or product housing shape to maximize radio characteristics.

Verification of Wireless Characteristics and Feedback

We use a "near-field multi-probe measurement system" to measure radio characteristics in a short time.
Generally, when measuring in an anechoic chamber, radio characteristics are measured in the three XYZ axes in multiple steps. This system, however, can measure the radio characteristics in all three axes in a single measurement, thus reducing measurement time and allowing for more pattern data within a limited time frame.

*About the Near-Field Multi-Probe Measurement System

The antenna mounted on the end product to be measured emits radio waves, which is the measured signal. As the table of the measurement system with the end product on it rotates, multiple sensors around it receive the waves, and dedicated software calculates the antenna characteristics and displays them as a 3D radiation pattern.
